The Hard Core Hogs and Dogs vest is made of high-quality materials and protects your hunting dog from wild boar fights and helps to distinguish it in hunting.
Hard Core Hogs and Dogs make vests for every hunter’s need. We use the highest grades of Military and correctional Kevlars to produce the toughest vests. To have a good hunting dog is very hard – it takes a lot of time, dedication, and investment, a good breed, and training, and after all replacing, a dog becomes very difficult. Hard Core Hod and Dogs take it personally to make the toughest and best gear on the market with great fit and flexibility.
We use Kevlar as our tests show that Kevlar offers the best protection compared to any other material out there. One layer of High-Grade Kevlar can be compared to 3-7 layers of nylon or Cordura. We have our pride that we are not only making the vests but we are hunters, and we hunt boars. We have seen how Nylon vests have been cut when taken hit by large boars.
Our Kevlar is a variety of 850d to 3000d chemical blend combinations to provide the most effective tinsel strength combined with the most effective separation ratio to limit failures to a bare minimum, and our pro-signature and SS features a custom design and made trilock or bilock kevlar.
Test show that Basic High-Grade Kevlar vests are just about 99.9% Hog Proof (something that even 5-7 Layer Nylon vests cannot offer!). While no vest is 100% cut-proof, we are about as close as possible with some of our newer catch vests reaching that 99.99% rating. We test different vests to offer the toughest layer-for-layer cut vest on the market! Boar has not managed to cut through our Kevlar vests yet. Premium Grade 1200/2500 Kevlar and Correctional Kevlar were a MUST when we started designing our own vest. We run a single-layer Kevlar vest on all of our dogs in these tests.

R.C.D. means “Running Catch Dog Vest.” This vest is built with a super-light weight-to-protection ratio. It features the same makeup as our best-selling Pro Bay Vest with 850+ Treated Kevlar and a poly-felt chest plate but is designed in our MAX-PROTECT MOLD so that it has a higher front to help eliminate the gap between the vest and a collar for those ruff dogs you might have to stop and hold running hogs. It also is 1-2" longer than a most standard vests. As with all our vest, it comes standard with Double Layered Straps, Cross Stitching, and Double Seemed Stitching.
