Sustainable, simple, and practical, the most simple folding knife that exists today was created at the end of the 19th century in a small mountain village in the French province of Savoy. In the far 1890s, the descendant master knife Josef Opinel made a knife with a specific shape and with a moving blade. He develops world-famous knives named OPINEL in twelve different versions according to the length of the blade and numbers them consecutively in numbers from 2 to 12.
